I am grateful and honored to have been part of the campaigns for two major global companies from China: Insta360, the global leader in panoramic cameras, and CFMOTO, the world-renowned manufacturer of high-performance motorcycles, off-road vehicles (ATVs/UTVs), and alternative fuel vehicles.
The shoot for the new Insta360 camera was a simple photography session at locations unfamiliar to me, on the roads of the island province of Hainan in China. The directors only required me to ride the bike up and down and pose statically on it. The shoot for MOTOFC, however, was much more demanding and dynamic, as it was for a very special video ad with plenty of effects. The filming took place in a hall in Hangzhou, where they managed to create something I had never experienced or seen before. To achieve the raw and realistic effect for the video, they installed hundreds of lights, a special laser, smoke, artificial rain, wind, and a sandstorm throughout the hall. The shoot was for a new electric-powered off-road quad bike. Luckily, I didn’t have to actually drive the vehicle; I just had to sit on it and pretend I was riding through a desert. It was a truly unique experience for me.

Some moments from CFMOTO shooting in Hangzhou, September 2024
Hvaležen in počaščen sem, da sem bil del kampanj za dve veliki globalni podjetji iz Kitajske: Insta360, globalni vodji na trgu panoramskih kamer, in CFMOTO, svetovnemu proizvajalcu visoko zmogljivih motociklov, terenskih vozil (ATV/UTV) ter vozil z alternativnimi gorivi.
Pri snemanju za novo kamero Insta360 je šlo za preprosto fotografiranje na meni neznanih lokacijah, na cestah otoške province Hainan na Kitajskem. Od mene so direktorji zahtevali le vožnjo s kolesom, gor in dol, ter statično poziranje na kolesu. Snemanje za MOTOFC pa je bilo veliko bolj zahtevno in dinamično, saj je šlo za zelo posebno video reklamo z veliko efekti. Snemanje je potekalo v hali v Hangzhou, kjer so ustvarili nekaj, česar prej še nisem doživel ali videl. Da bi naročniki dosegli kar se da surov in realističen učinek videa, so v hali inštalirali na stotine luči, poseben laser, dim, umetni dež, veter in peščeni vihar. Snemanje je bilo za nov model terenskega štirikolesnika, ki ga poganja elektrika. Na srečo mi vozila ni bilo treba voziti, le sedeti sem moral na njem in igrati, da se vozim po puščavi. Res unikatna izkušnja zame.
